About the Artist
You can never be beside yourself: Leonardo da Vinci wrote "The painter must be solitary. . . . For if you are alone you are completely yourself, but if you are accompanied by a single companion you are half yourself." I may not use brush or oil to relay my thoughts and feelings, but I am a painter by means of words. I write in solitude, away from life. It gives me the ability to put myself completely inside what I’m creating. I can escape the world.
